As a part of our mission, to help connect Christian people and Christian ministries so that together they might do more than they ever would alone, Cross Chapel Ministries, Inc. currently sponsors eight children in six countries through Compassion International. Compassion International is a ministry that advocates for children and is committed to Jesus Christ in all that they do. "Releasing children from poverty in Jesus' Name" is their mission statement. Upon a closer look, you will see how Jesus is the core of their ministry and His life and teachings shape their programs, reflect the spiritual commitments of their staff, and guide how they love people, respect communities, and cooperate with nations... all to the benefit of children living in poverty. CCMI sees Compassion International as Christ-centered, church-driven, and child-focused. This makes them distinct from other child sponsorship organizations. They are the worlds leading authority in holistic child development through sponsorships. Cross Chapel Ministries, Inc. is excited to see the difference the love of Christ is making in the lives of these children. The pool of children we help will grow as funds are available.
CCMI pays a monthly sponsorship per child, plus we send funds to cover medical costs monthly, and of course we also send a birthday gift. Compassion International reports that sponsored children on average: Spend 4,000 hours in safe, nuturing programs, Stay in school up to 1.5 years longer than their unsponsored peers, are up to 18% more likely to have salaried employment in their adult years, 40% more likely to finish secondary education, 80% more likely to graduate college, and 75% more likely to become leaders in their communities.
Cross Chapel Ministries, Inc. is thankful that together, our members can participate in a ministry that they may not be able to otherwise participate. Every contributor to CCMI is also a contributor to these children. The funds are important, but the most important thing we can do is pray for these children and the people administering this mission. Please commit to praying for these children specifically.
